Introduction:

Research centers and chairs are crucial in driving scientific progress and advancing cognitive aspects. They serve as a bridge between universities and other sectors, such as governmental and private entities, enabling integration and benefiting from the knowledge generated by the chairs. This collaboration helps the supporting sector achieve its goals while contributing to national and societal objectives.

Scientific chairs allow experienced researchers to turn their ideas and projects into real-life solutions that address societal, state, and other pertinent issues in the Saudi Arabian context. Additionally, these chairs provide a nurturing environment for both graduate and undergraduate students to engage in research and contribute to the field.

To align with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, Saudi universities are increasingly establishing research chairs focusing on topics relevant to national research priorities. The aim is to create research entities specializing in various fields that meet the country's needs and contribute to solving contemporary issues, guided by a scientifically sound research vision.

Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan Chair for Renewable Energy Studies and its Applications

Introduction:

Our interest lies in studying the issue of renewable energies, as they are considered one of the most significant global energy sources, aside from oil.
