Objectives
Based on the need to enhance scientific research at the university, the Deanship of Scientific Research has set goals related to the university’s strategic plan 2020-2025:
- Supporting researchers to conduct scientific research
- Establishing strategic alliances with research partners
- Improving the scientific research environment and resources
- Strengthening the research skills of faculty members
Mission
1. The responsibility includes developing and implementing activity plans for the deanship and monitoring their progress once approved.
2. Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the various organizational units associated with the deanship to ensure seamless integration and optimal utilization of available resources.
3. Proposing overall objectives and policies for scientific research activities within the university and ensuring they are implemented upon approval.
4. Proposing regulations, rules, and procedures to govern scientific research activities at the university and monitoring their implementation once approved.
5. Monitoring the preparation and evaluation of research projects and approving their technical and financial reports.
6. Encouraging faculty members to engage in innovative scientific research and supporting them.
7. Establishing an information database to track the progress of ongoing research projects according to the approved plan.
8. Creating a database of completed research to facilitate exchange and cooperation with other universities and relevant research centers.
9. Collaborating with research centers about preparing research projects within those centers.
10. Exchanging information and experiences with research centers that share similar goals and activities inside and outside the university.
11. Organizing research competitions to promote and enhance the scientific research process within the university.
12. Proposing additional measures to support and encourage publication in reputable scientific journals.
13. Defining performance indicators for all activities related to the deanship and continuously reviewing and improving them.
14. Identifying the deanship's human resources, equipment, and materials requirements and ensuring their procurement.
15. Assessing the training needs of deanship employees and nominating them for relevant training programs.
16. Compiling periodic reports on the deanship's activities, accomplishments, and improvement suggestions.
17. Undertaking any other tasks within the defined scope of authority.
